NICE AFTERNOON
HI EVERYONE,LAST SUNDAY I HAD A VERY NICE AFTERNOON WITH MY FRIEND,
WE WENT TO A PLACE CALLED "PORTIXOL" NEAR THE SEA.IT WAS A FISHERMEN
NEIGHBOURHOOD,NOW ALL THE HOUSES HAVE BEEN RENEWED,THERE ARE PLENTY OF LITTLE CAFÉS AND RESTAURANTS,THERE IS A NICE PROMENADE WALK AND A LOT OF PEOPLE COME HERE SPECIALLY WHEN THE WEATHER IS NICE WHICH IS MOST OF THE YEAR AROUND HERE.WE WENT TO A PASTRY COFFEE SHOP AND HAD A BIG PIECE OF CARROT CAKE AND AN ICED TEA AND I BOUGHT A DELICIOUS BREAD I´LL SHOW YOU ANOTHER DAY.I TOOK A LOT OF PICTURES AND HAD A GOOD CHAT WITH MY FRIEND
SO AS I SAID IT WAS A VERY NICE AFTERNOON.

PORK STEW WITH SAFFRON RICE
HI EVERYBODY,YESTERDAY I MADE THIS DISH WHICH CAME OUT REALLY TASTY
SO HERE´S THE RECIPE ;
1 POUND OF PORK FILLET CUT IN LITTLE PIECES
1 ONION CHOPPED
1 RED PEPPER CHOPPED
1 MEAT STOCKCUBE
1TSP CUMIN POWDER
1TSP MILD CURRY POWDER
A DASH OF BLACK PEPPER
1TBSP OF MY TOMATO MIXTURE
EXTRA VIRGEN OLIVE OIL
FOR THE RICE:
YOU CAN USE ANY RICE YOU LIKE,1 CUP RICE AND 2 CUPS WATER
1TBSP OLIVE OIL
1 TSP SALT
A LITTLE BIT OF SAFFRON
IN A LITTLE CASSEROLE PUT 2 CUPS OF WATER ,1TBSP OIL,THE SALT AND THE SAFFRON AND BRING TO A BOIL,THEN PUT THE RICE BRING DOWN THE FIRE TO MINIMUM AND COOK IT FOR 15 TO 18 MINUTES ,TURN IT OFF AND JUST LET IT REST.
MEANWHILE IN A BIG CASSEROLE (I USED MY WOK) PUT 2 TBSP OLIVE OIL,THROW IN
THE CHOPPED ONION AND LET IT COOK FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN ADD THE MEAT,
AFTER A FEW MINUTES ADD THE RED PEPPER AND COOK THE WHOLE THING FOR A LITTLE WHILE, WHEN YOU SEE THE MEAT IS NOT RED ANYMORE,YOU START ADDING THE SPICES AND THE STOCKCUBE,ADD AN ALMOST FULL CUP OF WATER,BRING THE FIRE DOWN AND LET IT SIMMER UNTIL THE SAUCE HAS THICKENED.
TO SERVE YOU PUT FIRST THE RICE IN THE PLATE THEN ON TOP YOU ADD THE MEAT.YOU CAN ADD SOME PARSLEY ON TOP TO DECORATE BUT I HATE IT SO NOT ON MINE.HOPE YOU ENJOY IT.

CAPPUCCINO CAFE
TODAY I HAD LUNCH WITH MY BROTHER AND WE WENT TO A CAFÉ RESTAURANT CALLED CAPPUCCINO.I HAD A "PAMBOLI" WHICH IS TOASTED BREAD WITH TOMATO
"MANCHEGO" CHEESE,SPANISH HAM,OLIVES AND HALF TOMATO,IT´S NOT REALLY THE
REAL WAY TO SERVE THE PAMBOLI NEXT TIME I´LL SHOW YOU WHAT´S THE REAL THING.MY BROTHER HAD A SALAD WITH LETTUCE,FETA CHEESE,OLIVES CHERRIES TOMATOES.GREEN AND RED PEPER.I WISH EVERY ONE A NICE WEEKEND.

DRY TOMATOES
HI EVERYBODY,I DON´T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I´M CRAZY ABOUT DRY TOMATOES
AND I USE IT IN EVERYPOSSIBLE DISH.I GRIND THEM AND ADD SOME CHOPPED GARLIC
A TSP OF DRY BASIL AND PUT IT IN A JAR AND COVER IT WITH EXTRA VIRGEN OLIVE OIL,IF YOU WAIT A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE USING IT YOU´LL GET ALL THE FLAVORS WELL MIXED BUT I HAVE NO CONTROL WHEN IT´S SOMETHING I JUST LOVE SO I MADE MYSELF A LITTLE BRUSHETTA WITH SOME TOASTED FRENCH BREAD,A SLICE OF CHEESE AND A TSP OF THE TOMATO MISTURE ON TOP OF THE CHEESE.VERY GOOD,JUST TRY AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT IT.BYE FOR NOW.

OLIVES
HI EVERYBODY
YESTERDAY I PUT A PICTURE I TOOK IN THE OLIVAR MARKET HERE IN PALMA DE MALLORCA AND I HAD TROUBLE WRITING A LITTLE TEXT SO TODAY HOPEFULLY I´LL BE ABLE TO DO IT.THESE OLIVES ARE SO GOOD,I GOT THOSE BIG ONES,THEY CALL THEM ITALIAN OLIVES AND ONCE HOME I MIXED THEM WITH GARLIC POWDER,DRY TOMATOE FLAKES DRY BASIL AND EXTRA VIRGEN OLIVE OIL AND THEY TASTE EVEN BETTER,I GOT ALSO SOME MAJORCAN GREEN OLIVES,THEY ARE A BIT SOUR BUT VERY GOOD AND I COULDN´T RESIST TO BUY ALSO THE BLACK ONES THEY HAVE GARLIC AND BAY LEAVES IN IT.HEALTHY,GOOD AND CHEAP,SO ENJOY IF YOU LIKE OLIVES LIKE I DO.THIS PICTURE IS SUNSET IN MY GARDEN.

WONDERFUL SUNDAY
AFTER TAKING MY FRIENDS THEIR SURPRISE BREAKFAST BASKET WHICH THEY
JUST LOVED AND WERE SO PLEASED; I WENT TO SPEND THE DAY AT SOME FRIEND´S PLACE WITH THIS WONDERFUL VIEW,I DID A LOT OF NOTHING!!!!!!!!JUST REST AND ENJOY .I WISH A GOOD NIGHT(HERE IT´S TEN PM)

NICE DAY

THEN I WENT TO A VERY NICE MARKET AND I BOUGHT SOME WATERMELON,IT WAS SO SWEET AND SO REFRESHING BECAUSE HERE IN MALLORCA IT´S STILL VERY HOT.
IT´S MY FIRST POST SO I´M A BIT LOST ABOUT WHAT TO PUT ,HOPEFULLY I´LL IMPROVE .THANKS FOR VISITING.
